Canine Behavior & How Dogs Learn

Even when we are not actively training our dogs, they are still learning - 'what' they are learning may not necessarily be what we want or  would like them to learn. Since every interaction does count - get 'the most bang for your buck' and learn how to make the most out of your interactions with your dogs and pups.

Learn how dogs communicate and how to be clear and effective in your communication with your dog. This workshop covers training and management - living with your dog24/7. Learn to establish good behaviors, how to change your dog's behavior through your normal daily interactions and how you can obtain polite manners and gain voice control. You will also learn strategies for dealing with inappropriate behaviors.

Within days of applying these techniques, your dog will start to choose to behave without being told! You will be amazed how logical and easy it is to apply.

Understanding Aggression and Fear & What to do about it

Would you like to help your dog feel more comfortable with other dogs, new people and new situations? Do you have a dog that displays aggressive or fearful behaviors - does your dog act timid, is shy or runs away and hides, shakes, trembles, has a threatening bark or growls, snaps, snarls, baring his/her teeth, lunges on leash, nips or has bitten?

Although aggressive behaviors are normal dog behaviors and can be appropriate communication in dog language, they have become unacceptable forms of communication in our society today. Not all dogs that growl are aggressive but many dogs do overreact and their responses are inappropriate in relationship to the context of the situation.

Learn what you can do to help your dog overcome the need to display such aggressive/fearful behaviors and how you can manage and modify your dog's behavior.
